2020! Hell of a year!

I know that this blog has died and found its way into a fiery pit in hell; but I am indeed still here. I've popped in a few times since this blog was last active, seven years ago, I do believe. Anywho, I was talking to a friend earlier and they mentioned that they sometimes wrote in a blog and it reminded me that this dinosaur of a blog still existed.

So, with the fresh reminder of my past as a blogger, I naturally did what any person would do. I found this badboy and decided to look through some of my rather embarrassing photo's of me as a teenager. Some would probably burn the proof of those awkward years, but I believe in maintaining a certain level of humility.

If you lose your ability to laugh at yourself then you lose your ability to love yourself. I also must admit that I really do miss many of the articles of clothing in these posts, almost all of them have found their way into a donation bin at this point. I also love going back through and looking at my old music recommendations.

I really did find myself listening to some great tunes back then. Some have stayed with me and others have faded away only to be found anew. I have discovered more great music and I have also grown much as a person in more than just music and fashion.

The years that I wrote in this blog were some of the lowest years of my life. This blog hit rock bottom at the same time I myself did. People say that when you hit the bottom that you can only go up from there. I have found this to be true, but I have also found that lifting yourself off the ground does not mean that you will not fall back down again.

I know I'm probably rambling and all, but taking a look at this blog which in many ways was sort of like a diary. I really did put a lot of myself into these posts. I used them to vent, to seek validation, and to connect with others.

When you are met with so many memories of the past I think you can't help but compare your life then to what it is now. I can say that I have had rough patches and good patches in life, but overall, I have become a much more confident person as I've grown.

I have learned more compassion than I ever thought possible, I learned that it isn't only others you need to show compassion to but also yourself. There are many other things I have learned growing up but I do fear that I have likely already made this post far longer than most people would care for reading so I will cut things off here.

I just moments ago saved many pictures of myself from 2014 up to present day and hope to make posts over the next few days sharing my life with anyone that stumbles across this blog.

I think it only fair that I start off with my most recent of photos. From there who knows what I'll do, maybe I will start from oldest to newest or maybe I will pick randomly and share bits and pieces of the wild ride I've been on since reaching adulthood.

So without further ado, I leave you with pictures from a little under a week ago. These were taken the same day that I cut and coloured my hair.

So, this is me, now at 26. Rocking a completely DIY haircut and colour.

Also i painted my friend blue!

Anyway I hope you all had a great and spooky Halloween!

Halloween Make Up

hello, it has been a while.  I never seem to know anything to post about.  I really am horrible at this blogging thing.  Iwas considering quiting all together and just keeping my tumblr, but this blog has helped me through some of my lowest points and i think I would feel as if something were missing if it was completely gone.

Anyway.  Halloween is approaching rather quickly so I have decided to share with you what my make up look will be for what is mine, and probably most of your, favourite holiday!

This is my first time trying out black lips and I must admit, I don't hate it on myself like I thought I would.

Outfit+Make Up Pic Spam

I have been gone for awhile because my computer got a virus and needed to be fixed.  But my computer is now in working order and I am back.  I took some pics while out of comission first of a outfit a few days ago and then today of my make up.

First up here are the outfit pictures.
A pretty dress from Lip Service
Mirror Shot.
And I also took some pictures of the boots I wore.  I got these boots at a yard sale for $2.  It was a great deal and I love them!

And today I felt like adding some colour to my make up so here is what I did.

Ignore the terrible condition of my skin.
Anyways I may not post for awhile because i am in the middle of exams, but I graduate on the 28th so there shall be pictures!

Todays Make Up

Yesterday I watched a tutorial from Leah Mouse on how she does her day to day make up.  It's not really anything fancy but I decided I liked the look so I gave it a try.  I changed the white to blue and didn't put anything above the black and did not use my eye shadow on my lips to match the eye but it is the same basic idea.

Close up with my eyes closed.
I actually really like this look and will be doing it in some other colors in the future.

And here's the tutorial.

Just a Quick Ego Boost

I have reached 10 followers and over 300 views!  Okay, I am fully aware this is not that big an accomplishment, lots of people have hundreds of followers and some even thousands.  Despite this I'm pretty excited seeing as how I am a random 17 year old girl from some small, northernish town in Canada, who is just starting out in a scene that is completely new to her(I've never even met a real goth).

I have always felt like nobody was listening so even just having ten people interested in me enough to follow my blog makes me happy.  So thank you guys!!(Especially Victorian Kitty for linking to me on her blog; this almost doubled my views in a single day)

Hey look!  I used to be somewhat normal :D  I found this on my computer a little while ago and thought I'd throw it in for fun.  This was taken Christmas of 2008 I believe(This actually used to be on of my favorite make-up looks, icy blue eyeshadow with sparkly blue eyeliner).

Review: Evil Shades Cosmetics

Okay so I ordered from http://www.evilshades.com/.  So I decided to do a review for the products I ordered.

Absorbed Spectrum Pot

I originally bought this as a replacement for eyeliner and to be honest I was not pleased with how it turned out(probably cause I have sucky brushes that are not good for using this product as an eyeliner).  But I instead tried using it as a black base and put a shimmery eyeshadow over it.  This actually turned out really well because when I would use this shadow with another base the color would show very like and it looked nothing like it did  in its container.  When i put it on over the black it showed the color I wanted it to and the Spectrum Pot is kind of waxy and has a slightly sticky  texture so the shadow stuck there perfectly.

This product does last for a rather long time, it was still perfect when I removed my make-up last night so over-all i am happy with this product despite it not working for the original purpose it was bought for.  I will probably be buying this again and I even have my eye on Spectrum Pots in other colors.

Evileyes Primer in Opal

Before I bought this I was using the same primer that was bought for my face on my eyes and was frustrated when the colors would start to fade.  So I searched the web for an affordable primer.  This is how I originally found the website.  So anyways the first thing i did when I got it was tried it out on my hand to feel the texture.  I was pleasantly surprised that it felt incredible silky and smooth and didn't have a strong smell and the slight scent it did have was nice.

I was also pleased that when I put it on it did not show up stark white and instead blended into my skin tone leaving nothing but shimmer.  It does not feel anybit sticky which is a plus and my shadow did not smudge, crease, or fade all day.  I will be buying this again when I run out because it was both effective and it was pretty cheap.

Broken Dreidel Shadow

I did not actually order this the owner of the site actually sent a free sample of it with my order which was nice.  It is a very vibrant blue color that has sparkles in it.  Blue it not my color, it dulls the look of my eyes since they are blue aswell and it clashes with my purple hair but I decided to try it out anyways so I would have a future reference on how well the shadows work.

It went on very vibrant and very sparkely which I loved and I did really like the color and would probably order some if the color looked good on me.  It was easy to apply and I found that not much was needed because it was very high pigment.  Even though this was not my color I will be ordering shadows in different colors from the site.

Customer Service

It took about a month to get my order which i find reasonable concidering christmas is near and it is not a big corporation.  I liked that I recieve notification through paypal when the items were shipped.  When the items arrived it had been shipped in a shiney pink bag and the owner had sent me a free sample of one of her limited time holiday eyeshadows.  Over-all buying from this company was a good experience and I will more than likely be ordering from them again in the future.

Evil Shades Cosmetics

So about ten minutes ago my brother informed me that my order from Evil Shades Cosmetics had arrived.  I ordered this about a month ago and I was super excited because I have never been able to find a eye shadow base in the small city I live in so I went online and decided to order from here because they had extremely low prices and some very nice colors of eye shadow.  So I ordered a white eyeshadow base and a black Spectrum Pot.

I was happy when I opened the package to discover the products had been placed in a pretty pink(And SHINEY!) bag.  I was even happier when I opened up the bag and saw that the owner had included a sample size of an eyeshadow from her limited time christmas colors.

I will be using the make-up today for work and will be posting pictures and a review tonight.  If I like how it works I will deffiniately be ordering from this website again!
