2020! Hell of a year!

I know that this blog has died and found its way into a fiery pit in hell; but I am indeed still here. I've popped in a few times since this blog was last active, seven years ago, I do believe. Anywho, I was talking to a friend earlier and they mentioned that they sometimes wrote in a blog and it reminded me that this dinosaur of a blog still existed.

So, with the fresh reminder of my past as a blogger, I naturally did what any person would do. I found this badboy and decided to look through some of my rather embarrassing photo's of me as a teenager. Some would probably burn the proof of those awkward years, but I believe in maintaining a certain level of humility.

If you lose your ability to laugh at yourself then you lose your ability to love yourself. I also must admit that I really do miss many of the articles of clothing in these posts, almost all of them have found their way into a donation bin at this point. I also love going back through and looking at my old music recommendations.

I really did find myself listening to some great tunes back then. Some have stayed with me and others have faded away only to be found anew. I have discovered more great music and I have also grown much as a person in more than just music and fashion.

The years that I wrote in this blog were some of the lowest years of my life. This blog hit rock bottom at the same time I myself did. People say that when you hit the bottom that you can only go up from there. I have found this to be true, but I have also found that lifting yourself off the ground does not mean that you will not fall back down again.

I know I'm probably rambling and all, but taking a look at this blog which in many ways was sort of like a diary. I really did put a lot of myself into these posts. I used them to vent, to seek validation, and to connect with others.

When you are met with so many memories of the past I think you can't help but compare your life then to what it is now. I can say that I have had rough patches and good patches in life, but overall, I have become a much more confident person as I've grown.

I have learned more compassion than I ever thought possible, I learned that it isn't only others you need to show compassion to but also yourself. There are many other things I have learned growing up but I do fear that I have likely already made this post far longer than most people would care for reading so I will cut things off here.

I just moments ago saved many pictures of myself from 2014 up to present day and hope to make posts over the next few days sharing my life with anyone that stumbles across this blog.

I think it only fair that I start off with my most recent of photos. From there who knows what I'll do, maybe I will start from oldest to newest or maybe I will pick randomly and share bits and pieces of the wild ride I've been on since reaching adulthood.

So without further ado, I leave you with pictures from a little under a week ago. These were taken the same day that I cut and coloured my hair.

So, this is me, now at 26. Rocking a completely DIY haircut and colour.

Songs for a Good Day

Hello fellow bloggers.  I know it has been a long time and yes I apologize again but instead of promising to post more often I am going to be honest and say I will only be posting when I have time and feel like posting something.  Blogging should be something you do out of enjoyment and not because you feel obligated to do so.

Anyway this is my 100th post so that is kind of exciting and I wanted to make sure I had a post that wasn't just a quick update so I am going to share with you my favorite songs to listen to while getting ready in the morning.

I find my day goes so much better when I have a happy morning so I always try to keep cheery despite having to get up early.  This includes enjoying a cup of Earl Grey, a giant bowl (or two) of some form of super sugary cereal, and most importantly making myself look nice while listening to music that always finds a way to make me happy.  So here are some of those song.
 The Cure-Gone!

 Misfits-Astro Zombies

Sisters of Mercy-This Corrosion
 The Cruxshadows-Dance Floor Metaphor
Well there you go. These are just a few of the songs that I like to listen to in order to assure my day be as happy as possible.  Be sure to comment and tell me some of your favorite songs for getting ready in the morning and I will check them out.

Music Post-May 2012

I have had a busy month and I once again want to apologize for my lack of posting.  Also thank you to my lovely followers for not getting bored and leaving me(and for continuing to comment on my pages, you guys do make me smile).  Anywho, this post almost didn't come for a second month in a row because the last week has been beyond hectic, but I am pulling aside a couple of minutes to throw together a random spew of video for you to enjoy.  And once again I will put up the warning that not all songs are goth so no messages about how ungothy I am.  :P

Siouxie and the Banshees-Face to Face

London After Midnight-Sacrifice

Rasputina-Draconian Crackdown
Adam and the Ants-Kings of the Wild Frontier
The Romanovs-Fever Pitch

Music Post-March 2012

So, I have been MIA for most of March but I have been in complete emotional turmoil for the past month or so and this weekend I had a bit of a breakdown.  Nothing major but I actually do feel better and am hoping to get back to posting regularly.  I have some photos that need to be shared and a lot of just random stuff to say but that can wait for a couple days.  So now that you guys have been updated a bit I will get on with some awesome songs.

No Change by Every New dead Ghost(I have to thank Tenebris in Lux for showing me this band)

Laughing Bloody Murder by Cinema Strange(I have been listening to ridiculous amounts of Cinema Strange lately.)

Holy Bats by eat your Make Up

Living Dead Superstars by Zombie Girl

Emerald Goddess by Alice Moving Under Skies(I can't seem to go a single day without this song.)

Out For The Count.

It has been a week since I last posted and I apologise but I have been sick and my brain is completely fried so I have not been able to come up with anything interesting to blog about. I do plan on taking advantage of being stuck in the house with the flu though. I plan on focusing on D.I.Y. in the next few days. I have an old black tee I plan on attacking with fabric paint. I also bought some more plain hair clips a little while ago so I'm probably going to make myself some new hair ribbons. As long as I actually get around to doing this I will post pics for you guys.

And to make this worth your time I share with you some Canadian Talent :)

Anarchid by A Spectre is Haunting Europe

Music Post- February 2012

My first music post since i turned it from weekly to monthly!  So I have a few songs to share from quite a few different genres.  I've noticed a bit of uproar about what is goth lately among some of the people I follow so I just want to put a warning...THESE SONGS ARE NOT NECESSARILY GOTH!  there now none can come at me for post stuff as goth when its not.  :)

Ballet for the Masses by Novocaine Mausoleum

Evil Night Together by Jill Tracy (I can't stop listening to this!)

The Cry by 13 Bats (First heard this a couple of years ago and hated it, just recently came across it and now i love it. Strange what a couple years can do to someones music tastes)

We Stand Alone by Covenant

Assimilate by Skinny Puppy(Yay for a great Canadian band!! My national pride always gets kicked up when I hear good Canadian music.)

Top Songs of the Week

So this will probably be the last weekly post about my top songs and i will instead be posting my fav songs monthly because I feel as if my top songs don't seem to be changing all that much from week to week.

Wreath of Barbs by Wumpscut

Arabian Knights by Siouxsie and the Banshees(This was my second ever song I heard from them and still love it)

Uncivilized by Psyche(Heard this on an Adora Batbrat video a couple weeks ago and now can't seem to get it out of my head)

Top Songs of the Week

Last week I posted that i would be making a weekly list of five songs that are my current favorites.  I have already run into a problem with this due to having had a fairly hectic week.  I have only been on my computer a couple of times and my MP3 is currently uncharged because it has to charge on my computer.  So, due to the fact that I haven't had very much time to relax with my music I am making a bit of a compromise and only posting two songs instead of five.

The first up is Coffin Maker by 13th Chime.  Okay so this band is pretty special to me because they were the first goth band I got into and I kinda forgot about them when i started digging further into the scene.  I recently was digging through the older songs on my MP3 and found this song and it reminded me of when I first stumbled across true goth music.

The second song is Inside Out by Dyonisis. I absolutely love this song.

Top 5 Songs of the Week

Okay so i haven't posted in almost two week due to work, christmas, and having nothing interesting going on to blog about so I have desided to make a weekly blog post that will force me to blog atleast once a week.  So the only thing I was able to think of was to post the songs that have probably been played the most from my playlist in the last week.

The top song that I've been listening to is probably Romeo's Distress by Christian Death

The second is Deception by the Cruxshadows

Shores of California by the Dresden Dolls

Wall of Pride by Voltaire

Gentlemen Aren't Nice by Emilie Autumn
